Covina Elementary School
is one of twelve K-5 schools in the Covina-Valley Unified
School District. The enrollment as of October 1997 was
502 students.
Covina Elementary has a rich heritage. Built in 1956,
to replace its namesake. "Covina Grammar School," on
10.3 acres near the heart of Covina, its 18 original
classrooms were built at a cost of $503,513, but have
been supplemented by six relocatable and two portable
buildings and the Covina Family Care Center.
In 1994, the school was remodeled with State Modernization
Funds totalling almost $800,000. |
