Covina-Valley offers an extensive Adult Education program for adults 18 and older. (High school students may attend classes with counselor and parent permission.) Known as Tri-Community Adult Education, the Adult School, which serves nearly 22,000 adults per year, offers more than 100 courses ranging from basic education, English as a Second Language and high school diploma courses to office skills, computer mastery, family literacy, fitness, home and decorative arts, and more. A registration and nominal classroom fee pay for classroom supplies and resources.

Daytime, afternoon, evening and weekend courses are available. The Adult School offers a four-term schedule:

Fall - September through December
Winter - January through March
Spring - March through June
Summer - June and July

Tri-Community Adult Education is an official GED testing center
  • Earn a high school equivalency diploma
  • Call Pioneer Center at (626) 974-6823 for information about cost, testing dates, testing hours and pre-GED testing.
Tri-Community Adult Education is a certified Court Reporter School
  • The Court Reporter Course of Study meets the standards for recognition established by the Court Reporters Board of California.
  • The Tri-Community Court Reporting program is approved by the National Court Reporters Association (NCRA) -- one of only six in California.
  • To be eligible for enrollment, students must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
